Representatives from Afghanistan, Myanmar, Pakistan and Sri Lanka convene for regional workshop on integrating postabortion care into their health systems

(PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA) In February 2014, Venture Strategies Innovations (VSI) participated in a regional workshop, sponsored by Marie Stopes International (MSI) and the Asian Safe Abortion Partnership (ASAP), in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Cambodia National Maternal and Child Health Centre. The workshop aimed to decrease maternal mortality across four countries through increased access to postabortion care (PAC). Practitioners, policymakers and program managers from Pakistan, Afghanistan, Myanmar and Sri Lanka engaged in strategy and planning sessions focused on strengthening their respective health systems through the integration of PAC services into national policies and guidelines.
